Crisis & Emergency Policy

Last Updated: 2026

Please read this document carefully before participating in coaching services through Thorns2Roses Coaching.

1. Not an Emergency Service

Thorns2Roses Coaching is not an emergency service and is not intended for crisis intervention, suicide prevention, psychiatric stabilization, emergency mental health support, domestic violence intervention, medical emergencies, legal emergencies, emergency shelter, or protective services.

2. No 24/7 Availability

Thorns2Roses Coaching does not provide 24/7 support, emergency response, on-demand crisis counseling, or immediate intervention services.

Messages, emails, forms, or communication submissions may not be reviewed immediately.

3. Client Responsibility in Emergencies

Clients remain responsible for seeking appropriate emergency assistance when needed.

If you are in immediate danger, considering self-harm, experiencing suicidal thoughts, experiencing a medical emergency, experiencing domestic violence or abuse, unable to maintain personal safety, or experiencing severe psychiatric distress, you should contact local emergency services, a licensed mental health provider, a crisis hotline, a trusted emergency contact, or an appropriate emergency resource in your area.

4. Coaching Limitations

Coaching services are designed for communication support, relationship reflection, personal growth, goal clarification, boundary work, emotional awareness, and practical coaching support.

Coaching is not a substitute for licensed medical, psychiatric, psychological, or emergency services.

5. Appropriate Referrals

Thorns2Roses Coaching may recommend that a client seek support from therapists, counselors, psychiatrists, physicians, domestic violence advocates, addiction specialists, crisis services, emergency services, or other licensed professionals when needs appear outside the scope of coaching.

6. Communication Limitations

Communication outside scheduled sessions is intended primarily for scheduling, administrative coordination, and brief clarifications.

Extended emotional crisis support outside sessions may not be available.

7. Right to Pause or Terminate Services

Thorns2Roses Coaching reserves the right to pause, decline, or terminate services if client needs exceed coaching scope, crisis support is repeatedly requested, safety concerns arise, appropriate boundaries cannot be maintained, or coaching is no longer an appropriate service.

8. Acknowledgment

By signing or electronically acknowledging this policy, the client confirms that they understand coaching is not emergency support, understand Thorns2Roses is not available for crisis response, understand emergency services may be necessary in certain situations, and agree to seek appropriate licensed or emergency support when needed.
